Accreditation

Another service which TI Select Training provides is accreditation. At this moment, this is mainly, but not exclusively, for training companies solely dedicated to training, training departments within any business related company, and TESOL/TEFL providers in the English Language Teaching area.

What is accreditation?
Accreditation is the process of reviewing a learning provider’s programmes, policies and systems to see if they meet international standards of quality set forth by the accrediting agency. As a process, accreditation reflects the fact that in achieving recognition by the accrediting agency, the institution or programme is committed to self-study and external review in seeking not only to meet standards but to continuously seek ways in which to enhance the quality of education and training provided.

Accreditation is also a status. As a status, accreditation provides public notification that the institution and programme meet standards of quality set forth by the accrediting agency. It demonstrates the provider’s competence, impartiality and performance capability and is the key to reducing risk and ensuring that students, employers and members of the public can have confidence in the services provided.

The benefits of accreditation

  1. Risk reduction: excellence achieved via competence reduces the likelihood of risk
  2. Confidence in the marketplace: students, employers and members of the public have greater confidence in an institution and programme which have been accredited against international standards of quality
  3. Due diligence; using an established accrediting body to carry out an independent evaluation helps demonstrate due diligence
  4. The accrediting agency is a superb source of impartial advice and knowledge transfer which may, in turn, lead to development opportunities

'As we enter an era of increasingly rapid change, it is important for businesses to be able to demonstrate their products are fit for purpose. The CBI fully endorses the view that, for markets to function properly, purchasers must have confidence the standards are being met.'
Lucy Findlay, Head of Enterprise, CBI
